As a (relatively) newly minted grad who has yet to get acquainted with this possibly mythical thing called a salary, I really shouldn’t be shelling out cash for live music, particularly since I would also like to eat.
But I guess sometimes feeding the soul trumps feeding the body. This year, I got to see a ton of shows up and down the East Coast, plus a few back home in the Midwest. They left me awed, inspired, sweaty, deaf, hoarse, and—overwhelmingly—dancing. These are my highlights of 2014; here’s to many more concerts (and living on peanut butter sandwiches) in the new year.
